Boost bone density and cardiovascular health with this low-impact fitness class. Using weighted vests, you'll safely add resistance to your walk, burn more calories and improve posture. You'll also build core strength, enhance balance, and reduce your risk of falls, making it an ideal practice for active aging. Each session includes a warm-up, guided outdoor walk, and cool-down stretch.

Participants must bring their own weighted vest (no more than 10% of body weight). Adjustable vests are recommended to start light (5% of body weight or less) and increase gradually. We meet in the Clark College fitness studio; lockers are available and the room is locked during walks. Led by an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, you'll learn proper pacing, form, and progression in a supportive, active-aging-focused community.
