The Inner Work of Healing

Teaching at GOLD’S GYM (Hazel Dell, OR)

Healing isn’t just about time passing—it’s about the work we do within.

It’s not easy. Often, we wait for closure: an apology, a reason, or the right goodbye. But life doesn’t always offer those things. And real peace? It rarely comes from anyone else.

True healing begins when we stop waiting and start releasing.

Resolve isn’t surrender. It’s the quiet strength to let go of the weight you’ve been carrying—old stories, broken relationships, or beliefs that no longer serve you. It's choosing your own peace over their permission.

Yoga as a Path to Release

Yoga teaches us more than flexibility—it teaches us how to sit with discomfort, breathe through uncertainty, and move through what hurts.

  • Breathwork helps us ground and release, one exhale at a time.

  • Challenging poses build resilience—the kind we need off the mat, too.

  • Stillness reveals clarity. In silence, truths rise to the surface.

  • Movement with music transforms yoga into a moving meditation, unlocking emotional release through rhythm.

Music for Letting Go

I curated a playlist to support emotional release—perfect for a fall practice, long walk, or quiet reflection. It includes tracks like:

  • “Turn! Turn! Turn!” – Sara Niemietz

  • “Dust in the Wind” – Kansas

  • “Seasons” – Bebe Rexha & Dolly Parton

  • “Somebody That I Used to Know” – Gotye ft. Kimbra

  • “Praying” – Kesha

  • “I Am My Own Guru” – Coax Marie

Let it guide you—not to escape the pain, but to move through it with grace.

You Are Your Own Healer

The inner work of healing takes courage. It asks you to face what you’ve buried, to breathe through what you fear, and to choose growth even when it hurts.

You don’t have to have all the answers to begin.
You just have to begin.
