GOLD’S GYM welcomes Erika to the GGX Team

GOLD’S GYM asked me to share what I love about fitness, and what members can expect when they attend one of my classes.

Why do you love fitness?

Fitness is essential for my mental health and physical well being. I love group fitness in particular because it builds community and motivates me to work harder. Additionally, I love trying different formats and discovering new ways to move!

What is your goal with our members?

My goal is always to create a safe and inclusive environment that sets everyone up for success. It means learning people’s names, what music they like and designing a class that provides options for all levels.

What should members expect in your class?

My classes are low impact and high joy! When you come to my class, you know you’re going to hear a great playlist, get a total body workout and have a great time!

How long have you been teaching?

10 years

What is your favorite class to teach?

Barre Fusions! I love the blend of yoga, dance, strength training, cardio and Pilates.

To take?

Yoga, barre, BodyPump, boxing… and I recently discovered aqua aerobics! It’s too difficult to choose. I am multi-passionate, which is why I teach multiple formats.

Do you prefer to be behind the scenes, in the limelight or a little of both?

Both! I spent a decade building a career in the commercial and music video production industry in Los Angeles, and I enjoy applying those skills to create programs for other fitness instructors. However, I also love to be in the limelight teaching and creating content for social media.

What is your fave snack?

Roasted almonds

How do you like to spend a day off?

Hiking, working out or spending time with my husband and 2 kids.

Where can I take your classes?

I teach at GOLD’S GYM Camas. Click here for the schedule. Your first class is free!

If you’re a member, all classes are free!

Not a member? Drop in for $20 a day and gain access to the gym and all classes.
