Moving Through Menopause
Women’s Wellness Workshop
Over the past few years, I’ve been navigating midlife changes and noticing more pronounced shifts in my energy, balance, and body composition. My colleague Autumn, a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, and I were asking the same questions: Why does training feel different now? Why do strategies that used to work no longer feel supportive? And why isn’t this talked about more openly in fitness spaces?
We’re both perimenopausal, deeply rooted in fitness, and committed to women’s health. After recently completing continuing education courses focused specifically on fitness and menopause, it became clear that bringing our perspectives together could offer something meaningful.
That collaboration led to Moving Through Menopause, a supportive, fitness-based workshop blending education, strength training, and yoga.
Date: January 24th
Time: 2p - 5pm
Location: West Coast Fitness, Portland, OR
Fee: $40
Description:
Join Erika Levy and Autumn Carpenter for a supportive, fitness-based workshop blending education, strength training, and yoga to help women navigate perimenopause through post-menopause with clarity and confidence.
We’ll start with a research-informed conversation about how hormonal shifts can impact strength, energy, recovery, pelvic floor function, and body composition—then move into a 90-minute workout focused on the lower body, core, and pelvic floor designed to build strength and body awareness.
This workshop is inclusive and accessible to all fitness levels, and appropriate for those navigating menopause-related changes, returning after childbirth or surgery, or preparing for midlife.
You’ll leave with:
A clearer understanding of how midlife changes affect your fitness
Guidance for structuring workouts that support strength, bone health, and longevity
Insight into why consistency and resistance training matter more than intensity
